pistonsfirst I removed the oil pump to prevent damage. The dirt visible on the inlet appears to be left over from the sealing. Note, when reassembling don´t put to much sealing between the two parts of the engine. Whatever sqeezes out will end at the oil pump intake. No good.

front piston removed. Bearing looks o.k. after 60000 miles.
