Locations of Bridges to be viewed with GoogleEarth

I try to collect coordinates or when possible gps-tracks of bridges to be viewed in GoogleEarth. Depending on the data resolution you can see vaguely the location of the bridge or often see the details of the bridge itself.
If you have GoogleEarth correctly installed on your PC you may view all bridge locations by clicking here. A pop-up should ask you whether you want to download a kmz-file and start it with the default application, which should be GoogleEarth in this case.
You will first see an overview and the locations will be listed in your "places"-menu. Open the tree inside the kmz-file, click on "bridges". To start the animation press the play button at the bottom of your "places"-menu.

I also provide the places-file for single facilities below for your convenience, in case you look for a specific place.
Places I have visited and photographed in 2005:

  • Oresund Bridge between Danmark and Sweden
  • Store Belt Bridge in Danmark
  • danish mainland to isle of fyn
  • Viaduc de Millau, France
  • Rendsburg Railway Bridge, Germany
  • Other bridges (Placemarks collected from the Web)
  • Akashi Kyko Bridge originally posted at http://www.googleearthhacks.com/
